Organize an online course

A well-structured course helps students understand what to do, in what order, and according to which expectations.

When available, organize the course with:

  • modules;
  • lessons;
  • resources or documents;
  • activities;
  • assessments;
  • progress instructions.

Prepare content

Before publishing a module:

  1. check the title and learning objective;
  2. add required resources;
  3. connect relevant activities or assessments;
  4. test the navigation order;
  5. confirm visibility for the right group.

Keep the framework clear

Avoid adding many pages or resources without hierarchy.

Students should quickly identify:

  • what is required;
  • what is optional;
  • what is assessed;
  • the expected date or period, if applicable.
