Use AI-assisted grading
AI-assisted grading can help analyze answers and suggest grading elements when the feature is enabled.
It does not replace teacher judgment.
General principle
AI can support:
- identifying expected elements in an answer;
- proposing feedback;
- speeding up a first review;
- helping align some criteria.
The teacher must always validate the result before confirming a grade.
Prepare for AI-assisted grading
For more useful assistance:
- write a clear question;
- add an expected answer or criteria;
- define the point value;
- avoid contradictory instructions.
Validate before publication
Before publishing a grade or comment:
- read the student's answer;
- compare it with the criteria;
- adjust points if necessary;
- remove or rewrite inappropriate feedback.
Limits
AI assistance may be less reliable if:
- instructions are ambiguous;
- no expected answer is provided;
- the answer uses images or files that are difficult to interpret;
- the question requires highly contextual judgment.
