User and access management

This page describes general principles for managing roles and access in Nabunam.

Exact configuration depends on your institution's deployment.

Main account types

Common roles include:

  • Students: access exams, courses, and published results.
  • Teachers: create exams, manage classes, grade submissions, and track groups.
  • Managers: view broader activity, reports, and exports.
  • Technical administrators: manage configuration, access, and integrations.

Account creation

Accounts may be:

  • synchronized from an institutional system;
  • imported from files;
  • created manually for specific cases.

Avoid creating duplicates if synchronization or import is used.

Assign roles

Give users only the access required for their responsibilities.

Review elevated permissions regularly, especially for manager and administrator roles.
